Founder – Ms Cat Chan
Ms Cat Chan is the Founder of AceChamps. She graduated from the Management Development Institute of Singapore/Southern Cross University, Australia with Dip. in International Business and with distinction in its Business Law.
A former certified Education Success Coach and Senior Licensed Education Advisor with premium educational organisation MindChamps Singapore, Ms Chan has more than 9 years of coaching experience with kids facing study and academic challenges based on MindChamps’ sound psychological and neuroscientific research. She connects and can relate to what parents in the modern age are facing, as well as to children and youths’ mindsets and thought processes with ease.
A dynamic goal-achiever, Ms Chan now mentors a growing number of aspiring trainers and speakers who are also leaders committed to their various causes. Living a well-balanced life of nurturing and giving, Ms Chan is fully immersed in her own personal development and impact lives.
A vibrant and engaging senior executive in a local renowned and established law firm, Ms Chan manages legal works and services in Property Law and Conveyancing Practices (1992-present). She handles a high-degree of specialization which engages in challenging, highly varied work across a broad spectrum of property law practice. She had engaged in substantive legal tasks, as well as operating with greater autonomy with relevant contacts and good relations which broaden her experience and expertise.
She was appointed as 2011 Chairman, Special Projects, Junior Chamber International (“JCI”) Marina Chapter (Singapore). Her key contribution in organizing of JCI Marina’s Board Of Directors’ Installation 2011, JCI Marina 2011 Anniversary Dinner and other special projects in collaborations with Jill Lowe International, Bosses Network, BossGroup Singapore, Entrepreneur Round Table (2011). She was also appointed as the Honorary Secretary with Rotary Club of Serangoon Gardens Orchard (2013). Ms Chan organises & heads AceChamps social project team platform. Her team had volunteered with Probation and Community Rehabilitation Service (PCRS), Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) at its career fair for MSF clients (2018) and conducted 2 workshops on interview skills and personal grooming which were very engaging and well-received by MSF’s participants. She have also contributed her services together with her team at the Singapore Children’s Society Walkathon 2018 at the gift redemption booth, the services formed part of AceChamps’ social works contribution. Ms Chan heads the team and partner VOX @ Children’s Society (2019) to facilitate the Service Leadership Program© (Phase 1) at its centre.
In her leisure, Ms Chan enjoys painting and song writing. In a joint collaboration with Singaporean Singer-songwriter/Artist Fym Summer in respect of AceChamps music project, Ms Chan wrote the lyrics of a song 「我就在微博等你」(Weibo Love Story) and music composed by Fym Summer, AceChamps has released their first solo Mandopop song 「我就在微博等你」on 25 November 2020 via major digital music platforms internationally.
The song is written and inspired by fan-celebrity story board in support of artists works in the music, drama and/or movie industries all over world. The music video (“MV”) [https://youtu.be/9IJI2_PI8wo] is starred by Fym Summer and Max Ong as the lead actor and actress. Shot by Mr Bryan Lee of Orhsome Media Production and directed by Ms Chan at the famous heritage Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore and The Clifford Pier.
The project itself is a dedication for arts and sciences communicated via the social media and digital platforms. Part of the sales proceeds and royalties (10%) of the songs will be set aside to humanitarian organizations to support their work/social projects.

In 2022, Ms Chan launched AceChamps first eShop in marketing AceChamps “Light of the World” Easter Social Project 2022 with the sale of her very own creations of scented candles – “Garden of Love” and “Garden of Grace”. Part of the sale proceeds was pledged to churches/social organisation to support their works. The scented candles was also sold in Flora Fantasy @ Gardens by the Bay pop-up store on 23 April 2022 to celebrate the special occasion.
In February 2023, AceChamps conducted a training webinar via its social project platform on Will Writing, Lasting Power of Attorney and Retirement Planning through its business partner, Beyond Group representing Manulife Financial Advisers and PreceptsGroup International Pte Ltd to the employees at Singapore Land Group Limited. The webinar was well-structured, engaging, and delivered with clarity and professionalism. The session was well-received by the staff, who found it informative, practical and engaging.
Further in April 2023, AceChamps conducted a customised Personal Branding Corporate Workshop to the senior management and officers of Singapore Land Group Limited at the ParkRoyal Collection @ Marine Bay of which the workshop has also received tremendous positive feedback from the participants.
Ms Chan believes that one should continue in life-long learning and to have a growth mindset. Such belief allows her to pursue excellence and help others move forward in life with hope and dignity.
Co-Founder, Chief Trainer and Senior Advisor – Dr Yap Kwong Weng
Dr. Yap Kwong Weng co-founded AceChamps and serves as a Senior Advisor/Chief Trainer in its educational, cultural and leadership programs. Dr. Yap is an author, non-profit activist and founder/entrepreneur of LEAP South-East Asia based in Myanmar. He was trained as US Navy SEAL and was named a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum. A Toa Payoh boy who lived in the heartlands for over 25 years, he was a late bloomer who hated books when he was young, and never believed education could change his life. After a serious car accident that almost cost his life, Dr. Yap took a leap of faith and never looked back since. Among several degrees including a PhD, Dr. Yap earned a Master of Public Administration from the National University of Singapore’s (NUS) Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. He was the Regional Advisor, Indochina of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. He continues to pursue bigger dreams fully knowing that success comes with sacrifice. Dr. Yap Kwong Weng was a Principal Advisor & Joint Lab Director with KPMG Singapore. He develops the firm’s strategy in Singapore and focuses on transformation and growth strategy, including regional M&A projects. He is an Associate Partner in EY-Parthenon to support public sector and commercial firms make better strategy decisions in design, digital and infra development.

Digital Brand Strategist / IT Director
– Mr Alan Tham
Mr Alan Tham serves as an IT Director/Brand Strategist in AceChamps. He graduated from Business IT at Temasek Polytechnic and studied Visual Communication and Design at RMIT University. He has continue to pursue his life-long learning through Brand Management and Consumer Behaviour Management with the Singapore University of Social Sciences as well as Communication Management with Singapore Management University. He has more than 10 years’ experience ranging from corporate website branding, E-commerce site and portal development in both the local & overseas market.
Mr Tham is also the founder of Aria Information Technologies and has worked and helped various local corporate companies, i.e. Lasaf Technologies (S) Pte Ltd, Hocen Singapore, Wireless Technology Company, IWOW Connections Pte Ltd, Baller Magazine, Finance-Wiz, IDC Digital Transformation Awards in their website creation ranging from ground work design to concept development, co-ordination and data insertion including translation to Korean and Chinese version. He also assist the local companies in its marketing and company positioning as leading brand in the local market.
His overseas experience includes working with WUPOXI (悟破习) to complete an entrepreneurship and success system portal. He had manage and lead a 9 man-team in Beijing and Singapore which made up of consultants, creatives, web developers, techologists, and storytellers to complete the entrepreneurship and success system portal project.
A self-motivated achiever, Mr Tham now mentors a growing number of marketing brands as brand strategist and influencer. Mr Tham is a strong believer in seeking peace and joy in life and trust that it is within one’s reach and contentment. His positive vibes and mindset in life makes him who he is today as he continues to influence others with his amicable and good-natured.
Senior Estate & Succession Volunteer Trainer / Consultant – Mr Andy Cheah
B.Sc (Econ), ChFC, Dip. SCI(Life), LUTCF, AEPP
Andy Cheah serves as a Senior Estate and Succession Volunteer Trainer/Consultant with AceChamps Social Project Team.
He is a Senior Estate and Succession Practitioner (ESP) of Precepts Legacy Pte Ltd (formerly Rockwills Corporation Pte Ltd). He is a firm believer that family and business wealth preservation, expansion and succession of the next generation is best achieved through proper estate or legacy planning.
He is also a Chartered Financial Consultant with AIA and has been in the financial planning practice for over 2 decades. He helps his clients to secure their financial future through need based planning.
In 2012, Andy was invited on TV, radio and the newspaper media to share his experience and knowledge on the importance of drawing up a personal LPA (Lasting Power of Attorney).
In December 2019, he was broadcasted again on live Radio FM 95.8 MediaCorp mandarin radio station to help raise awareness on the LPA as there was still very low public awareness with regards to the matter.
His father’s traffic accident ordeal in 2008 also led him to further explore and research on the field of estate and legacy planning, as the Singapore market is grossly under served by the estate planning industry, given that Singapore is a well known financial hub and has attracted substantial wealth into the country.
Andy incorporates his financial planning practice with an expanded and integrated estate planning approach and believes that the adage “Chinese or Asian family businesses cannot survive beyond 3 generations” does not hold water if there is proper pre-planning with the use of wills, trusts and other planning structures.
Andy is also passionate about educating and consulting with local business founders and owners to pass on their legacies to their next generations in the best possible ways.
